Diluted Love for Parents?

Diluted Love for Parents?

When children leave the nest
they fly off like cotton wood seeds
in the zephyr or in the wayward wind,
sail in the new world, leaving behind
a mound of memory
to build a mountain of it.
When they wed, their spouse dilutes
the love for parents.

We are the worn story books; their children to love.
