Good book is wholesome, informative, and entertaining.
Sibling one: “If your child and I were drowning in a lake and you could save only one at a time, who would you save first? Your child or me?”
Sibling two: “My child. Because it’s not only a matter of love, but also it is my duty to make sure of my child’s wellbeing.”
Sibling one: “Sigh…! I understand.”
Sibling two: In case you and I were drowning and a rescuer could save only one at a time, I would let the person save YOU first.”
(By the way, happy new year, every one! What do you think about the above post?)
An interracial couple: "Do you think our marriage is abnormal?"
Me: “No. You are both human so it is normal. If one of you is an animal, that is abnormal.”
Donald Trump: “Keep the Muslims from coming in until the Congress figure out what’s going on.”
A voter: “Why only Muslims? Sometimes I wonder if Donald Trump has a jealous twin brother trying to ruin his presidential candidacy.”
Only the suppressed word is dangerous.

Carson: “…the terrorists are like rabid dogs.”
An audience: “Good comparison. But what do you think America should do about the Syrian refugees?”
Clinton: “…It’s time to broaden the effort.”
An audience: “Oh so vague…”
Trump: “We don’t know who they are. Keep the refugees in Syria and give them humanitarian aid…”
An audience: “I don’t know. At least, that’s a clear statement, Donald.”

Saying goodbye to your be-loved one, whether it be a person or a tree, is always difficult. This apple tree graced my yard for nearly two decades since I grew it from a sapling. Even the cat loved it. But a disease got it last fall. I hope it will grow new branches next spring.
