The tall grass on the hill, she watches, thinking, she'd mow, when a couple of young bull snake pops out of the hole beneath the junipers, tangled for mating.
She gawks as he undoes himself to let his mate go down the slope, slithers aside nearby the tall grass and gives the lady the way.
She gestures and tell him: go, go ahead. He calmly looks at her as if to say: you, go ahead. She: no, you first. He fixes his innocent beady eyes on her: you first. she decides he won't go first, with his gentle manish attitude. She goes up the slope and turn to see him going down the slope, and joins his mate, who happily heads to the pasture.
Great poem. Thanks for the opportunity to read it.

One of my daily poems:
The lizard
Slowly the lizard open its somnolent eyes,
Sitting on a wall of gray, it ask itself why,
Would the sun hide and relinquish the warmth of day,
To the cold, dark sky, as it did yesterday.
A lost insect comes to the lizard, near,
Buzzing, with mocking words that it does not
Like to hear.
A flash, a moment too fast to see, an insect
Now gone, stolen by a long, cruel tongue,
First meal on a young day,
While the sun remembers that it is time
To bring comfort to the needs of nature,
To be a thorn to the clouds of any
Approaching storm.
Happy is now the lizard,
Sunbathing on the rays of a mad sun,
Scolding the four legged animal for its selfishness,
Forgetting to thank the red globe,
Punishing the silly creature
With a sky full of clouds and abundant rain
Soon to come!
