Spring in Winter
Winter kicks him
like a bucking horse,
knocking him down unconscious;
an angelic pacemaker take charge of his heart.
The Wife
A shock wave,
to see his sudden black out.
Calmer in ER.
Back home, he’s gibberish.
Do you mean divorce? Her eyebrows rise.
Worry not, dear. That will come when we die.

It was such a jolt, we both had to get through. Now, everything is settling down.
