So Nature deals with us, and takes away
Our playthings one by one, and by the hand
Leads us to rest.
–Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

So Nature deals with us, and takes away
Our playthings one by one, and by the hand
Leads us to rest.
–Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Past is merely a slice of whole
Even if many memories are hidden
In every corners of deep inside
Judging the entirety by that sliver
Is imprudent.
Bottom of that chasm a part of
One sobs, wishing it were cocoon,
Reverse the wrong, metamorphose
And fly out into the bright future
Who would judge no-criminal by the
Little ghost in the past?

the arrogant word
to the innocent girl
‘come back
when the bosom
grow full’
then waited
many years
but she
never
returned
memory of youth
blushes
the face
with shame
regret

Is there anyone who hasn’t said something inadvertently to hurt someone?
Occasionally we all do. Time dilutes toxicity of harsh word. But some word is too strong to be forgiven. Worse, sometimes it changes your life against your favor!

Every evening I am grateful to have
You at my side. The neighbors
Come and go but you are
Here for me telling
About the day’s
Story that never
Fail to amuse me,
For we are eternal
Lovers, aren’t we? They
Say love can wane with time
Like moon. If so I’d wait for you
Till your lovely face reappear among
The tinny stars with renewed passion

According to statistics, half of married couples end up divorcing. Worse, nowadays
young people don’t believe in marriage that last till death do apart. One of the reasons is that majority women don’t depend on men any more. They earn bread themselves. So they choose not to stay in unsatisfying marriage. Besides, divorcing is easy these days. It takes only a few months to complete the paper work process in many states. I’m an old-fashioned person. And it makes me sad. Good thing is that I know many couples who have been married longer than 40 years and they want it to be continued.
(Thinking of the suffering young friends)
If you want to survive, stay sober
Treat all the self-destructive
Urges as your worst enemy
If you cannot defeat the poisonous
Temptation, seek pro.’s help
Listen to wise older ones
Negative mind only begets
Misery
They sat next to each other at the airport
The baby in his mom’s lap fixed infectious
Gaze on the girl who had never seen
Others gave him
A smile
A dame next to the girl followed her eyes to
The baby and put a long frown on
The innocent face, turned her head
To another baby to stick a bright
Smile on him
The frowning woman, two different babies
The girl was troubled by the thoughts
What’s with the unfairness, lady?
Despite the dissimilar hue
Of their skins, the two are
Brothers
Open your eyes wider
And you’ll
See it
Many years later, the memory was still fresh
In the girl’s mind when she saw the dame
Now a stooped old woman and the baby
A man crossing
The road
With a screech, a car halted to a stop
At the hobbling woman’s foot the
Startled man turned and put
His arm around her back
A smile spread on the
Woman’s face
The girl’s eyes brimmed
The haunting memory
No more
One of those nights when
The mind wanders off to
Unknown world,
Searching and pursuing
The hero weaving the story
Outside, the rain weeps for
His tragic journey as the
Thunder roars, accusing her for lying
The shadow in the dark vindicates,
Unlike the lying politician,
She’s an artist at words
Liar or artist, she doesn’t care,
Following her harmless passion
The keyboard clicks into the
Wee hours of the night
And time fly away
Turning her hair gray
Worry, it is a leech that sucks the
Life out of the spirit
It has two faces
One that is short-term and benign
Even beneficial
The other, long and malicious,
Gnaws happiness, sneaky
When off guard in the
Darkest days
Try to resist it
Replace it with
Optimism yet
It lingers then
Persists
Time passes, so does the stubborn one,
Leaving irreparable dents in beatitude
Forever stolen are the wasted days
You are no longer omnipresent as
Worshipers garnered you from ancient time
You became jewels hidden in a deep mountain
With great adoration, everyone search for you
While you shine in excellent literature
You are no longer jewels hidden but
Invisible beauty, untouchable, only
Skillful ones take on the unoriginal you and
Make you seem original
For some reason, she’s unhappy with the status quo in the world around her. Poor woman. If she knew that Hagmire read her mind and made a mockery out of it, she’d be even more disgusted. She once mentioned that reading her mind without her permission is like raping her head.
